A Palestinian young man dead at dawn Monday after he succumbed to an injury he sustained during his participation in the Great March of Return last Monday in the east of Khan Yunis City, south of Gaza Strip.

Bassam Safi, 22-year-old, he grew up without a father, his father died when he was just a 5-year-old child, with his mother and brothers, a friend of the martyr told.

An Israeli soldier deliberately shot with a gaz bomb in his head, he laid in the ICU in the Nasser Hospital for a week, on Monday morning, he died succumbed to his injury.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that Bassam Safi died of a serious injury after Israeli snipers shot him with a tear gaz bomb in the head last Friday.

Since the beginning of the peaceful March of Return on March 30, 2018, Israeli killed more than 270 martyrs, injured more than 28,000 others without any justification.

Hundreds of Bassam's relatives and friends gathered on Monday for the funeral of their son Bassam who killed by the Israeli occupation forces.
